Brief
Expand a well-established hair salon in Alserkal by transforming an underused mezzanine into additional client and styling space. The owners also needed the business to remain operational throughout the fit-out, while preserving the salon’s existing industrial aesthetic.
Solution
RVA developed a phased design and build strategy that separated construction activity from the active salon, allowing appointments to continue with minimal disruption. The mezzanine was reconfigured to accommodate new workstations, with the existing concrete and matt black metal language carried out through the extension. Detailed architectural drawings, construction sequencing and a comprehensive Bill of Quantities meant the client always knew what stage the project was at, and what it would cost.
